Most buyers ask about suffixes, shaft positions, alternative designations and what goes on the written quote.
What information determines the correct SKF bearing execution?+
The complete designation with every suffix, especially the seal or shield type and the internal clearance. Add the machine model and the bearing position. If the marking is worn, send a photo and tell us what still needs confirming.
How should I list the two bearing positions on a motor?+
Give the drive end and the non-drive end their own lines, each with its own designation and quantity. The two positions often take different structures, and combining them is a common cause of wrong quantities or bearings fitted in the wrong place.
Can you offer an alternative designation?+
Yes, but only if you agree to alternatives, and any alternative is listed separately on the quote. No technical change is made without your approval. A dimension match alone is never treated as a confirmed replacement.
What does the written quote include?+
It lists the designation, quantity, price and currency, stock status, estimated lead time, quote validity and the freight and tax terms that apply. It also states which product documents can be supplied for that order.
